I love seeing my clients year after year and The Hatcher Family is definitely no exception to that statement. Not only are they super fun and adorable, but they’re always up for my crazy ideas and when I mentioned the possibility of shooting on a farm, they arranged for us to shoot at Avalon Acres, where they have been CSA members for years.
Funny side story… Avalon Acres is in Hohenwald, TN and for some crazy reason I thought it was fairly close to where I live. It’s not. In fact, it’s kind of out in the boonies and we all made sure to get out to the main roads before it got too dark! ha But, oh was it WORTH the beautiful little drive!
We started off just hanging out in some other areas of the farm (part of which we came to find out did not actually belong to the farm, but instead their neighbors – oops!) and then made our way to hang out with their sweet animals.
I am pretty sure if I had a bigger car and didn’t already have 3 dogs and a horse, I would have stuffed one of these ADORABLY awesome donkeys into my car. Seriously. Must. get. one. Near the end of the shoot, Silas found a chicken feather and I was nearly in tears laughing as (you will see below) he went around asking the chickens if it belonged to them. Could he be any cuter?! Thank you so much you guys! You ROCK! And thank you to Avalon Acres (and their neighbors!) for allowing us to shoot on your beautiful property.
